Hello and welcome back to the well!

Have you ever tried driving with a GPS or navigation system? Many of us have and many depend on this guidance daily to get them to and from, to steer them clear of heavy traffic or accidents, really anything that can slow them down or keep them from their planned destination. Did you also know that these devices need to be updated on a regular basis to help you get the crucial information you need? New roads, routes you may not have been aware of, things going on in places you didn’t know, construction projects, etc.

Psalm 119:105:

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path.

.

Hebrews 4:12:

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

It seems like our society is in the midst of a construction project right now, like the roads we may have traveled are being updated and new paths and roads to get to places are being made. In a world that is constantly changing we need to have a good navigation system. When I miss an opportunity to turn or the traffic slows my route down, I will be reminded by my system that it is recalculating a new path for me to get to where I need to go…it will give me heads up notification when I need to turn or if there is a hazard up ahead. You know…our relationship with God is a lot like this, if we accept Jesus as our savior and commit our lives to him, and his way, our map, the holy bible is our ultimate navigation system. The Holy Spirit guides us and warns us of hazards up ahead. If we miss an opportunity, God’s Holy Spirit through His love shows us how to get back on track. How to either go through the heavy traffic, or around it. How we can get to our destination safely, if we trust him and do what he says.

Have you got off track, do you feel lost? Are you in the middle of an upgrade or need one, get plugged back in to the one who knows and loves you, who will always show you the way home! Friends, we are living in troubled times, I don’t know what you are using to guide you through, but I can tell you this, Jesus is the only way to get home! Jesus is the only one who has literally died for you and suffered for you so that you can get back home, where we all belong.

Take time right now and answer these questions:

What or who am I relying on to navigate these times?

  1. Is this a reliable source? If it is not Jesus Christ, where does this source get its power, it’s authority, and whom do they follow?
  2. How is following this person/this narrative/this path working for you? Are you at peace? Do you have a future hope with this source?

If you don’t have peace with who is navigating your life, your path, you can have that peace, right now through Jesus Christ! Please pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I need you, please save me from this mess, this hurt, this torment. Please forgive me of all my sins, I accept that you alone are my savior and Lord. You are the son of the living God and I need and want you to be the Lord of my life. Amen!

As you continue your walk, you need to get into a community with true believers, get a bible, read it, watch sermons, listen and read and pray! By accepting Jesus as savior, you have received the Holy Spirit who is God himself living in you. He will guide you and direct you in all your ways. Find a local church and sit at the feet of Jesus and let him feed you and grow you with his word.

A final word for those of us who have been saved by grace and who may need to repent, and repeat these same steps. It is okay, we have all lost our ways at times. We need to get back to the basics and right away. Time is wasting and our brothers and sisters need us to show them the way, the truth and the life that is in Jesus now more than ever.

Blessings,

Beth
